Santa Cruz CARBON NOMAD - LARGE XO Industry Nine FOX36 in Sioux City, Iowa For Sale
I am sad to say that I am getting old and this is too much bike for me. I liked the idea, but when it came time to actually take the drop I took the out. In fact the only good that I have accomplished on this bike is beat my compadres up technical climbs on their 29er epics. I bought the frame in September and have not done it justice logging only a handful of technical XC rides in the Northeast. Some components have seen a season of riding while others have seen the same as the frame - not nearly enough attention.
Frameset & Fork:
•Large Carbon Nomad - I am 5' 10" and I felt very comfortable on this. Frame has minimal use so minimal wear. The one blemish I did identified I tried to take a picture of; it is not a chip, but a smudge.
•RS Monarch RT3 (xxxx) - could not find an imperfection
•Fox FLOAT RLC FIT 36 (xxxx) - The fork has its share of dings and cable rub but operates flawlessly. I tried to do my best to capture any imperfections.
Components:
•Sram XO rear derailleur (mid cage) and XO grip shift.
•Shimano XT front derailleur - same use as frame.
•Shimano XT Crankset 175MM - as you can see from the pic, the outer chainring has maybe a ride on it. I normally ran a 2x9 setup with a bash guard. The crankset operates like butter but has its share of scratches and dings from rocks.
•Hope Tech M4 with braided cables and floating rotors. 7" front/ 6" rear. I have never had a set of brakes that have competed with thes; they absolutely rocked once I found the right pads.n I would keep them if I had something to swap them out with.
•XT cassette and KMC SL 9 speed chain. Both are new with one ride on them.
•Thomson Seatpost and 70mm stem. Stem is new with one ride.
•Answer Pro-taper Carbon All mountain (OS Clamp, 720mm wide)
•Chris King 1.5" Headset - right now its set up to reduce to a 1.125" straight steerer. Same use a frame.
